In phosphataion liquor from affination is mixed with lime and then with phosphoric acid. Normally two kind of flocculants are added: a cationic flocculant to precipitate the anionic colorants and another flocculant to improve the floatation of formed flocks. Air is mixed with juice. Entrained air will adhere to the flocks increasing their floatability.
