UV ColourBy Bento, Luis San MiguelPosted on 2007-11-11 Last edited on 2009-09-07 In a study by UV spectrophotometry, sugar colourants were analysed in respect to absorbancies at high wavelengths, higher than 273nm, and the absorbancies at low wavelengths, lower than 273nm (Bento, 1995a). The results of this study are presented at Table 3. The explanation of the meaning of Llf and Hlf parameters is done in the publication “Application of UV Spectrophometry to study sugar colourants through the refining process”, (Bento, 1995a), in Annex IV.
